Terms of service

By using loclay (the “Service”) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. We may update these terms; continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

loclay is a web app for finding and enriching publicly available local business data. Each search runs live on Google Maps, and our AI reads each business's own public website for contact details. You can view, filter, save and export the results as CSV.

You need an account, created by signing in with Google, to use the Service. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Google sign-in secure. One account is for one person; don't share it.

You agree not to:

• use the Service or its data for spam, harassment, fraud or any illegal purpose;
• contact businesses in breach of anti-spam, telemarketing or privacy laws that apply to you (for example CAN-SPAM, GDPR or TCPA); you are responsible for how you use the data;
• resell or republish exported data as a standalone list or database;
• get around credit limits, for example by running several accounts;
• use the data to discriminate against individuals or businesses;
• scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the Service itself.

We make reasonable efforts to return accurate, current data, and every contact is labelled with where it was found. But we don't guarantee the accuracy, completeness or freshness of any result. Business information changes often, and results reflect what was publicly available when the search ran. A missing decision maker or email is not a fault in the Service.

Every new account gets 50 free leads, once, with no payment details needed. They don't renew, and one person may not open several accounts to get more. After that, plans are billed monthly through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which issues your invoices and handles sales tax.

Each plan includes a number of credits per billing period. One credit is one enriched lead delivered. Starting a search reserves credits for the number of leads you asked for; when the search finishes, credits for leads it didn't deliver are returned automatically. Unused credits don't roll over to the next period.

You can cancel at any time from Billing. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Upgrading charges the price difference straight away; downgrading takes effect immediately with no refund. We don't refund partial periods.

The loclay name, site design and software are ours. We don't claim ownership of facts about a business (its name, address, phone and so on). You may use the data you export for your own prospecting and your clients' campaigns, within these terms.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any lead will result in a sale.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or its data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms. You can close your account at any time by emailingsupport@loclay.cc. When an account is closed, its data is deleted within 30 days.
